Foundations Discussion

Our Foundations Discussion is a small group that talks through what it really means to follow Christ in our day-to-day. This small group is the perfect space to ask questions and learn about what the Bible teaches are foundational principles and practices to be close to God. It is through these discussions that we lay a strong spiritual foundation to help us weather life’s storms. If you are new to following Christ, want to get baptised or have been struggling to apply the Bible in your life, this group is for you.

Sundays: 9:30 am – 10:30 am, Foundations House

Wednesdays Online: 6 pm – 7:30 pm

Victory training

Victory Training is a powerful course that empowers believers to walk in the freedom that Christ won for them on the Cross, leaving behind past sin, hurt and shame. We talk through the process of transformation, understanding the Cross, and what our new identity is in Christ. We also tackle specific issues, including:

  • Relational dysfunction
  • Generational curses
  • Sexual sins
  • Spiritual errors
  • Addictions
  • How to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit

This life-changing course is recommended for all believers to do every few years. Women and men do the course separately.

Growing in Spiritual Habits Training

Part 1

The aim of Part 1 is to help you understand and practice spiritual disciplines (or habits) to grow and mature in your relationship with God. Spiritual disciplines enable us to create rhythms and habits of abiding in Jesus, ongoing spiritual growth and being doers of the Word, not just hearers.

This training focuses on understanding and applying spiritual disciplines to our lives, as this provides a foundation for Bible-based living. Part 2 offers elective courses that tackle specific areas of biblical living. Please note that you cannot enrol in Part 2 without completing Part 1.

Topics include:

  • Understanding the Bible and studying the Bible
  • Meditation and solitude
  • Prayer
  • Fasting
  • Sabbath
  • Fellowship and confession
  • Gratitude
  • Spirit-empowerment

Part 2

Part 2 offers elective courses that tackle specific areas of biblical living, such as parenting, relationships, purpose and hearing God’s voice.

Hearing God’s Voice

This is a powerful course that will be offered every season that we are running Part 2. It will practically equip you to correctly discern God’s voice for yourself and others, and help you to grow in the prophetic gift of the Holy Spirit. It will transform your intimacy with God on a daily basis.

Look out for announcements to find out which other courses are coming up.

Pre-Marriage Course

If you are engaged or Lobola is in process or has taken place, and you are planning to get married within the next six or seven months, please prioritise attending the Pre-Marriage Course. The aim of this course is to share biblical truth with you, coupled with practical advice based on personal testimony.

We believe that marriage union takes place once the following processes are complete: The blessing of God, through a pastor blessing your marriage; the blessing of parents (in some cultures, this means Lobola has taken place or in process); and the signing of the Marriage Register for the Government to recognise your marriage.

The course takes place twice a year on six consecutive Tuesday evenings.

Pre-Dedication Course

If you would like to dedicate your child to the Lord, we invite you to do this during one of our special Child Dedication services. Parents take this moment to pledge to bring their child up in the ways of the Lord, with the church as their witness. Bring your family and friends along to be part of this important moment.

In order to dedicate your child at Every Nation Rosebank, you have to attend our Pre-Dedication Course that takes place on the Saturday morning before the Dedication.
